WORKING IN CANADA

Its very difficult to practice medicine in canada.
I have friends in canada who could not get past the exams nearly for 3 years.But i think its possible if we try hard and not to think anything else than our goal

yes,its very difficult to compete for our position in canada.
1.First we have to get through MCCEE(NOW ALSO IN DELHI),

the best preparation material is TORONTO NOTES(TN), the latest edition(If you are going to appear for september 2006 MCCEE,then it will be 2005 toronto notes).ofcourse its difficult to obtain TN.I have tried in many places here to get one book without success,my advice is get the book from there in canada through someone you know(there itself they are printing less than 100 copies every year)

2.we have to get through QE PART 1(CONDUCTED ONLY IN CANADA).WE SHOULD GET BOOKS THERE ACCORDING TO OUR PREPARATION

3.then we should apply for reidency match through CArms(canadian residencial matching service) only 10% of people will get sucessful match(note this) .we esp the IMG(international medical graduates) will get only second titeration.
additionlly we should get medical college DEAN LETTER,OUR CURRICULAM VITA,OUR STUDENT EFFICIENCY,TOEFL SCORE 0F MINIMUM 237,TSE OF MINIMUM 50,LETTERS FROM THE HEAD OF THE DEPARTMENT REGARDING OUR WORKING CAPACITY AND ANYTHING USEFUL TO PROVE OUR SKILL,AND WE HAVE TO BECOME PERMANENT RESIDENT OR CITIZEN IN THE MEAN TIME

4.we should attend an interview and satisfy their expectation(our communication skill,persanality,leadership quality etc.,)

5.then 9-12 months of training period under supervision,then we should appear for QE PART 2(upon training we should prove our efficacy)

6.after completing all this we should apply for residency separetly(to different states different rules and regulations are there)

7.Then we should under go additional 3-5 years of residency according to our assigned department(salary is barely sufficient)

8.Then only we can practice medicine separately
9.But living in canada is wonderful,its a colourful and very cultured country.people behave very nicely

10. so if humilate ourself initially,the fruit will be definitely sweet enough
